Types of Users

What are Full Access Users?

Users with Full Access (LICENSE REQUIRED)

Users with full access have all the permissions to fully operate each MP version 10 application (Maintenance Management, Spare Parts Inventory, Tools Control, Request Manager, Etc.). It is important to mention that this type of user requires the activation of the applications.

For example, in the MP the user with full access can completely edit the catalogs of equipment, locations and maintenance plans, can plan the activities to be carried out, generate and manage work orders, generate reports and graphs with the information analysis tools , etc. You can also register new users and grant permissions to existing users.

The type of user with full access is suitable for Maintenance Administrators or for those in charge of the spare parts or tools warehouse.

What types of users are considered FREE AND UNLIMITED?

Users Consultation only (FREE AND UNLIMITED)

They are users who are allowed:

  • Consult all the information regarding equipment and locations.
  • Consult maintenance plans.
  • Consult upcoming maintenance.
  • Check maintenance schedules.
  • Consult work orders.
  • Check alerts.
  • Check histories.
  • Consult consumptions and spare parts assigned to each team.
  • Check stock of spare parts in inventory.
  • Consult guarantees.
  • Consult providers and services.
  • Check availability of tools.

This user profile does not allow to perform maintenance administrator tasks such as: create or edit equipment and location catalogs, create or edit maintenance plans, generate or close work orders, advance or postpone activities, generate graphs and reports with the information analysis tool, etc. Users only consult and technical users cannot access the Spare Parts Inventory and Tool Control programs.

To use this user profile we have created a desktop application called MPv10 Técnicos y Consulta, which does not require activation since it is freely distributed and is compatible with basic, professional and enterprise MP.

 

Technical Users (FREE AND UNLIMITED)

In addition to the query-only user attributes, they can also carry out specific tasks such as:

  • Mark activities performed on work orders.
  • Record equipment readings (eg, mileage, hours of use, etc.).
  • Record measurements (eg, temperature, amperage, wear, etc.).
  • Generate warehouse vouchers.
  • Record consumption of spare parts used.
  • Record time spent executing each work order.
  • Add observations to work orders.
  • Add images of how the team was before and after performing the jobs.
  • Mark equipment that is out of service

Users to report maintenance requests (FREE AND UNLIMITED)

They are the people authorized to report maintenance requests via a desktop application or through the mobile app. The number of users to report maintenance requests is UNLIMITED.

Both the desktop application and the application mobile application do not require activation and are freely distributed, they are only compatible with the business version.

Can I later increase the number of Administrative Users of my MP program?

Yes, of course. At Step 2: From this quote you will be able to quote the acquisition of additional Administrator Users and acquire them when your needs grow to increase the number of users who will manage MPsoftware applications.

If I am already a user of a previous version of the MP, can I update my MP program to the new version 10?

Of course. If you already own a "License for use" of a previous version of the MP (version 9, 8 or 7), there are special prices for updating your previous version and acquiring the "License for life use" of the version 10.

How do I cancel the recurring payment for my monthly subscription?

To cancel the recurring payment to your monthly subscription, you must log in to your account PayPal.

If for any reason I cancel my subscription, who is the owner of my data and how can I continue to have access to it so as not to lose the work I have done for years?

The database with all the information collected belongs to you and MP includes tools that allow you to export the information to PDF or Excel files at any time and as many times as you want.

Now, the reality is that, despite the feasibility that MP and many other CMMS offer to export your information, stop having access to your information with the application (the software) specifically designed to interpret, manipulate and keep all that information organized. , it can represent significant losses in time and effort spent collecting data. Although it is true that you will have your data there, in a flat Excel or PDF file for example, its exploitation will not be the same as if you use the application (the software) designed specifically for it.

For your peace of mind in that sense, the great advantage that MP offers compared to other CMMS that operate under the subscription scheme, is that in the case of requiring the cancellation of a subscription, with MP there is always the option of acquiring a “License lifetime use ”with a very attractive discount of up to 70% off in recognition of your payments made during your subscription, so that with a small extra payment you will be able to count on the application (the software) to continue properly accessing said information and give continuity to the work carried out over the years. Does the MP include a tool to migrate my data from versions prior to version 10?

Yes. The MP includes a tool that allows you to import your information from version 9 to version 10.

Are there extra charges to access advanced features of the program?

The Business version is our most complete version and includes all the functionality of the MP. That is, there are no hidden extra charges to have access to advanced features of the software such as custom graphics, transaction log, multi-companies, user configuration and permissions, etc. (Services such as consultancies or face-to-face training in your facilities, services of Cloud hosting and integrations are not included).

Can I later change the licensing from Professional to Enterprise version?

Yes. You only pay the difference between one version and the other.

Connectivity

Do I need to have computer skills and invest in a lot of infrastructure to install and use the MP?

The installation of the software is very simple. A couple of clicks and voila! Similar to or easier than installing applications like Office® or a printer driver on your computer. Simple as that.

There is also no need for IT infrastructure such as servers or networks to use and share MP information. If your company does not have IT infrastructure or you simply prefer to host your databases in the cloud without using your own network, you do not require more infrastructure than the computer equipment or PC's where you will install the program.

Now, unlike other CMMS, a great advantage of the MP is that in addition to the cloud, it also allows you to host the databases on your servers or any type of network (Wan, Lan, Wlan, Vlan, etc.). In this regard, it is worth mentioning that many MP users are companies and large corporations that do have their own infrastructure and, for various reasons, prefer to host the program databases on their own network.

Do I require permanent Internet access to operate the program?

It all depends on where you have your databases hosted.

If you decide to host the MP databases in the cloud, logically you will require permanent Internet access to access your information. Similarly, if the program or software is in the cloud, you will require permanent access to the Internet. For many companies, this should not represent a major inconvenience, but for others, due to geographical location or internal policies, it is.

For this reason, MP also offers you the alternative of hosting your databases on your computers locally or on your servers and thus you do not require permanent access to the Internet.

It is important to mention that, for licensing validation issues, every 30 days the MP requires an Internet connection for a few seconds. These 30 days are counted from the last day you used the MP and had an Internet connection. If your company does not have Internet, you can even share the Internet of your mobile device for a few seconds by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or USB cable and this only happens once every 30 days, for a few seconds and practically without consuming nothing for data transfer.

Does version 10 continue the means of protection of licensing through the HASP PADLOCK?

Goodbye to the HASP lock! In version 10, the physical and / or virtual HASP padlock used by previous versions of the MP as a means of licensing protection was eliminated. This puts an end to a series of drawbacks that the HASP lock came to present with some users.

Now in version 10, the licensing validation is through an Internet access every 30 days without the need to install the Hasp lock. Thanks to this, the installation and update process is now much simpler, more reliable and hassle-free.

What training package should I hire?

We have training packages with pre-established syllabi, introductory courses that allow you to start the implementation quickly, basic and advanced courses, or we can adapt to what you need in terms of advice and training, whether it is advice to answer specific questions, courses focused on administrative and / or operational maintenance personnel, specific courses on the inventory of spare parts, courses on changes and improvements of the new version, advice on connectivity, management courses for the exploitation of information, audits on how to the program is being carried, etc.

Do I need to contract an implementation or training package to successfully implement the MP?

No. Although hiring a face-to-face training course at your facilities with one of our certified instructors is always a good recommended option to take full advantage of the potential of the MP and make it easier for your company staff to learn the software, this is of no use. form is necessary or forced to achieve implementation of the PM.
